If you’re coming from Zagreb, just hop on the A4 motorway toward Varaždin and slip off at the Varaždinske Toplice exit. From there, follow the local road (ŽC2083) into the town and then small village roads that lead uphill toward the forest.

From Slovenia (e.g. Maribor or Ptuj), cross at the Ormož–Hum na Sutli or Zavrč–Dubrava Križovljanska border crossings, then connect onto the same local network toward Varaždin and Varaždinske Toplice.

Here’s the hidden part: you can’t reach the viewpoint directly by car. Parking is only possible along the small village road, near the thermal spas (Minerva), where the trail begins. To get to Pećina Viewpoint, you’ll need to pass between two private houses (it feels like a secret local path, but don’t worry—it’s allowed), and then take a short walk into the forest. The trail is unmarked but clear, about 10 minutes through the woods, and leads straight to the natural terrace.

It’s a small adventure—half driving, half walking—but that’s exactly what makes this viewpoint feel like a true local gem.
